Negotiation & ADR Workshops

Where Theory Meets Practice

Sheila Maloney, J.D., is hailed by the American Bar Association as an “expert on negotiation, mediation, and alternative dispute resolution.” As an Administrative Law Judge, certified mediator and former professor of negotiation at Northwestern University, Pritzker School of Law, Sheila provides engaging negotiation and ADR trainings that are fun and filled with real-time learning opportunities. She is the author of American Bar Association Guide to Resolving Legal Disputes: Inside and Outside the Courtroom

Sheila’s programs feature interest-based negotiation theory and skills taught through interactive exercises and simulated problem-solving scenarios. Participants work collaboratively to formulate strategies for viewing a negotiation holistically, consider the interests and alternatives of all parties, and effectively build on their skill-set to move forward in a positive and productive manner. Programs end with a group question and answer session and all written materials. Clients appreciate the high-energy presentations coupled with multiple opportunities for teambuilding and collaboration.

Hear From Sheila's Past Clients:

"I first engaged Sheila as a meeting facilitator many years ago when I was building a nonprofit organization. She built an agenda that set a positive, welcoming tone from the start. She ensured everyone felt at ease and encouraged meaningful conversation about who we were and what we could become as an organization. The result was a day that energized our team, built shared understanding, and deepened investment in our work.

If you’re looking for a skilled facilitator who brings warmth, structure, and clarity to your gatherings, someone who helps groups connect deeply, stay focused, and move forward with purpose, I can’t recommend Sheila highly enough."
